What Can Happen If You Don’t Maintain Your Registry?
by admin
In the last post you learned what a registry is. You also learned that if the registry has problems, these problems can spill over and cause other problems for your computer. Today you’ll learn exactly what type of problems you may experience when your registry isn’t running optimally.
The more you use your computer the more files and data get put into the registry. When you delete software or programs, you probably think once you delete it, it’s gone. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case. Sometimes when you delete files or programs they still have registry information stored in the registry. This data and information is useless. It doesn’t exist on your computer anymore, but it is still occupying valuable space in the registry.
While your registry tries to cope with all of this, eventually it is going to have some adverse effects on the operating system. Your computer may start producing problems that you never encountered before. Sometimes, you’ll be lucky and there will be an actual error telling you there’s a problem with the registry. However, most of the time, the problems are much more subtle, and you may not know what is causing them.
Some Registry Problem Symptoms Include:
Operating system crash (blue screen of death), applications and software either taking forever to open or not opening at all, application or software crashes (when the program or software you’re running tells you there’s an error and has to shut down), even just an overall slow down of your computer is a symptom.
These problems which can be a huge nuisance when they happen can usually be easily fixed and even prevented. All you have to do is get a registry cleaner. In the next post, you’ll learn exactly what a registry cleaner does. You’ll also learn how it can solve your problems.
