RegSweep Review
After you open RegSweep you are shown an easy to understand user interface and given the following options to pick from: scan, settings, backup and manage startup. If you pick the scan screen you have the option of letting RegSweep scan for the most common registry problems or if you want to manually pick what gets scanned there are boxes you can check to personalize your scan. There are a lot of options to choose from here that you don’t see in other registry repair programs which is nice to see.
I left all boxes ticked so that RegSweep would do a complete scan and see how long it would take. The scan process was over in less than a minute. A very impressive time and definitely the fastest registry repair program we have tried.
Once the scan is complete you are given the results which include a detailed list of all the problem registry entries. You can take your time and review each entry the program has flagged to see if you really want to delete it or pick the automatic deletion that will remove all problem files with just one mouse click.
Like every other good registry repair program, RegSweep has a backup and restore feature that is used before any registry entries are removed from your computer. That way, if something bad should occur after a registry file is removed by RegSweep you can go back and restore your system.
Regsweep also comes loaded with a Manage Startup feature. This is where you can take control of the program that start up with Windows. Many times unnecessary programs are loaded in to your system memory when Windows first boots up. These programs aren’t needed at the time but they still take up lots of valuable resources. using the startup manager you can deactivate or delete these programs and prevent them from starting with Windows and free up your computers resources.
Other options in RegSweep include a setting so that you can have RegSweep start a scan whenever you start Windows, if you want RegSweep to check for updates automatically and you can setup RegSweep to run on a schedule.
