In a previous article we discussed what features you should look for in a paid registry cleaner. By now, you should be a near expert on registry cleaners. Today you’re going to learn about why maintenance of your registry is important.

Even if your computer isn’t experiencing any of the problems mentioned in the previous message, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a registry cleaner. Even if you have a brand new computer or a next to brand new computer, you should still have a registry cleaner. A registry cleaner isn’t just for taking care of current operating system problems. By running a registry cleaner on a regular basis, you will help to keep your computer running smoothly and efficiently.

As mentioned in a previous message, just day to day use of your computer will cause the registry to start to get a lot of junk files piled up inside of it. The data will begin to get spread out. If you own a car, you completely understand that the best kind of maintenance you can have is preventative maintenance. If you catch a problem early, it will usually cost you a lot less than if you don’t know there is a problem and it finally lets itself known. It can even cause more damage when it actually does reveal itself compared to if you had caught it early on.

Having a good registry cleaner is preventative maintenance for your computer. Why wait until you start experiencing a sluggish operating system, or get applications and programs constantly shutting down on you? If you get yourself a good paid registry cleaner now, you won’t have to experience any of the problems that many other computer users have to painfully go through because they didn’t know any better. Now, you don’t have any excuses. You do know better.

Do yourself and your computer a big favor. Go right now and buy and download a good paid registry cleaner. You will be glad that you did, especially if you hear someone else complaining about all their computer problems that you know is probably related to their registry!

In a past article, we went over why it can be potentially harmful to download a free registry cleaner. You may think that a paid registry cleaner will cost a fortune. However, that just isn’t the case. In this post you’re going to learn about why an online paid registry cleaner can be the ideal way to go.

You may believe that the best registry cleaners on the market are going to be very expensive. Thankfully, this isn’t the case. You can easily scan, clean and repair your Windows registry files very quickly and efficiently, without having to pay a lot of money to do it. You may wonder how it is that the best registry cleaners can be so cost effective. It’s actually quite simple.

You see most of the best registry cleaners available are sold online. This is what helps to keep the cost down. The most expensive part for the registry cleaning software companies was the cost to develop the software. Once the programmers are done writing the code, the company can then sell the same product over and over again. Because they sell the software online, they don’t have very much overhead. They don’t have to put the product on a CD, they don’t have to package it, and they don’t have to ship it. They just give you a download link.

There are obviously, registry cleaner companies that do sell a physical product. However, you’re probably going to have to pay a lot more for that product, than one you can just download on your computer. The company that sells the physical product has to charge more to make up for the expenses discussed above.

Thanks to a competitive market, you won’t have to spend a lot on a good registry cleaner. You won’t have to worry as much about it containing malicious software.

So we will be going over what a registry is now.

The registry is a very integral part to the Windows operating system. In fact, Windows wouldn’t be able to run at all if there wasn’t a registry. The registry is a place where Windows stores certain data and information. It puts it there so it has easy access to it whenever it needs it.

Without getting too technical, the items which are most often stored there include the following:

… Hardware drivers,

… System settings,

… System preferences,

… System configurations,

… Information about applications that run at start up,

… Software shortcuts,

… Software installation information, etc…

The more you use your computer the more files and data get put into the registry. When you delete software or programs, you probably think once you delete it, it’s gone. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case. Sometimes when you delete files or programs they still have registry information stored in the registry. This data and information is useless. It doesn’t exist on your computer anymore, but it is still occupying valuable space in the registry.

While your registry tries to cope with all of this, eventually it is going to have some adverse effects on the operating system. Your computer may start producing problems that you never encountered before.

In an earlier article we talked about why a paid registry cleaner is a good alternative to a free one. Today, you’re going to learn about what features you should look for in a registry cleaner. Because there are so many on the market, this is will be a very handy way to pick one that is right for you.

A top paid registry cleaner will provide regular updates for free or low rates to their customers. This way, the software will not become obsolete. Because the company is making a profit when they sell their registry cleaner, they have a desire to stay competitive with the other registry cleaners and they can afford to ensure the software stays updated.

A top paid registry cleaner should be easy to use. You should be able to install it and it should be pretty self explanatory. There should be help files included in case you need them. Also a top registry cleaner will back up the registry before you make any changes to it. This way, if something does accidentally get deleted that shouldn’t be deleted; the registry can be restored to its previous state.

A top registry cleaner should come from a reliable and reputable company. If you have to pay for it, there is a much less significant risk of getting some sort of malicious software with your registry cleaner. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t let your guard down. If something doesn’t look right or sound right about the software, find another. There are a lot of them out there. Of course, you should find a paid registry cleaner that is within your budget range.

The chances are that you’ve been advised to use a registry cleaner on your computer, but of course, if you’re not technically minded then there’s every chance that you’re not completely sure as to what a registry cleaner actually does.

Believe it or not, but there are many people who don’t know what a registry cleaner does, so in this article we’ll try to explain the benefits of running a registry cleaning program in a non technical way.

Essentially, a registry cleaner helps to improve your computer’s performance. This is because the windows registry, which in a way could be compared to a person’s nervous system, eventually becomes clogged up with obsolete entries.

Once the registry becomes clogged with unnecessary data, your computer will end up slowing down to a snail’s pace. In other words, when you run a registry cleaner, it’s basically the same as when you give your home a spring clean.

In fact, try and imagine all that unnecessary data as being heavy clothing on a swimmer. Obviously, the more clothing the swimmer has on, the slower he’ll be able to swim. Likewise, the more clothing he removes, the faster he’ll be able to swim. The same applies to your computer’s registry, in that the less unnecessary data there is, the faster it will be able to function.

Additionally, registry cleaning software also repairs and prevents errors. Bear in mind that invalid and obsolete data which is stored in the windows registry will often do more than simply slow your system down.

In fact, all that useless data can actually end up creating havoc when it comes to installing or uninstalling software programs. A poorly maintained registry is probably the number one cause for programs freezing and for computers crashing.

Bear in mind that the windows registry automatically stores information for practically each and every program you have installed on the computer.

Obviously, if some of that information is corrupt or incorrect, it will almost certainly result in you getting pop up error messages. Generally speaking, good registry cleaning software will help to eradicate such problems by repairing the existing errors.

Just as a motor vehicle requires regular maintenance in order for it to operate properly, so too does your computer. The good thing is that computer maintenance is certainly far cheaper than motor vehicle maintenance.

Remember, you only need to purchase registry cleaning software once, and you can be rest assured that the software will pay for itself over a relatively short period of time.

In a past article you learned what a registry is. You also learned that if the registry has problems, these problems can spill over and cause other problems for your computer. Today you’ll learn exactly what type of problems you may experience when your registry isn’t running optimally.

Sometimes, you’ll be lucky and there will be an actual error telling you there’s a problem with the registry. However, most of the time, the problems are much more subtle, and you may not know what is causing them.

Some Registry Problem Symptoms Include:

Operating system crash (blue screen of death), applications and software either taking forever to open or not opening at all, application or software crashes (when the program or software you’re running tells you there’s an error and has to shut down), even just an overall slow down of your computer is a symptom.

These problems which can be a huge nuisance when they happen can usually be easily fixed and even prevented. All you have to do is get a registry cleaner.

Let’s face it; anyone who owns a computer ends up becoming annoyed and frustrated at times, especially when the computer slows down to a snail’s pace. While this can sometimes be painfully obvious whenever you try to load a program, it can also mean that your computer takes forever to boot up.

Irrespective of what’s causing it, slow computers are something which millions of users have to deal with daily. Even though there is no guaranteed cure for a slow computer, there are however four things you can do to speed it up.

#1. Reboot Computer

You’d be surprised at just how many people never bother rebooting their computers, and this in itself is a major cause for computers being slow. With so many people having 24 hour Internet connection, and their computers being an integral part of their lifestyle, many people tend to overlook the fact that all computers need to be rebooted frequently.

You need to bear in mind that there are several programs which don’t shut down completely even when you close them. Furthermore, many software programs tend to have memory leakage, and over a period of time this can have an adverse effect on your computer’s available memory. Obviously, when your computer is short on available memory it inevitably begins slowing down until it reaches a snail’s pace. By rebooting your computer you’ll be allowing it to reset its memory and you’d be surprised how this alone can result in your computer speeding up.

#2. Memory Upgrade

The amount of available memory has a direct impact on the speed of your computer. At the very least you should have 512 MB RAM, and that if you’re running one of the earlier versions of Microsoft Windows such as XP. On the other hand if you’re using the new Windows 7 operating platform then you’ll need at least 1GB of RAM. In fact, even though Windows Vista is an earlier system, it requires a whopping 1.5GB. Ideally you should have at least 2GB of available memory on your computer if you have a 64-bit system, or if you enjoy playing games.

#3. System Defrag

As you may well already know, if your hard drive is fragmented it results in your machine becoming inefficient. You can bet your bottom dollar that if you’ve not been using the built in defragment tool, you’ll be forfeiting a substantial amount of your computer’s potential with regards to accessing files and etc.

Bear in mind that Microsoft has included a defragmenting tool with all the operating systems for a very good reason, in that it should be used at least once every 30 days in order to ensure that your hard drive does not become overly fragmented. If you have not used in the tool for an extended period of time, you’ll notice to a substantial difference in speed once you do.

#4. Registry Cleaner

Just as a defragmenting tool helps to organize your hard drive, a registry cleaner helps to remove unnecessary clutter from the windows registry, bearing in mind that the registry can be compared to being a computer’s brain. Whenever you choose to install new programs, or remove old programs or drivers, a significant amount of data is either added or removed from your computer’s registry.

Unfortunately however, the vast majority of programs fail to uninstall properly, and this often results in a certain amount of data remaining in the registry which shouldn’t in fact been removed. Of course, these pockets of data do nothing other than clutter up your registry and cause conflicts between programs and drivers. This in turn results in your system becoming increasingly slow, not to mention the fact that you’ll also begin experiencing frequent error messages. By running an effective registry cleaning tool regularly, you’ll be doing much in terms of improving the overall speed of your computer.

Computer users try a lot of ways to speed up computer. First of all, they invest in the best computer they can afford. This is a universal fact. Nobody will buy a computer with lesser features than they can afford. The main intention is that their computer must have a blazing computer and tower over their friends’ computers.

You may have done the same thing when you bought your computer too. But sadly, within just three months of using your computer, you may have found that your computer became much slower than it was on the day you bought it. Yes, computers become slow with usage. That’s another universal fact.

There may be a question nagging you now. How do the computers of the corporate offices around the world always keep working to perfection? Of course, those guys must be using their computers to the hilt. They may be installing and uninstalling programs by the dozen every week.

Even so, their computers are always working at speeds that would shame your newly bought computer. So what’s the deal? Do these corporate offices buy new computers every six months or so? They must be, they have all the money!

If you are thinking like that, there’s no one more mistaken than you are. Corporate offices do have to work on a budget too, and frivolities like getting new computer systems every month are just out of their league. So then what do they do?

It is very simple to understand, actually. These people are very diligent in cleaning their registries every week. Yes, that’s all that they do to keep their computers working at their best!

The best part of all this is that even you can speed up computer by cleaning up its registry. Now, if you are thinking that you will have to be a techie to enter your computer’s registry and identify and remove all the files that are overburdening it, you are mistaken again.

All you will have to do is to run a software application that will scan your entire computer registry, show you all the errors there are (there will be hundreds of them if you haven’t cleaned your computer’s registry for a month) and then fix them up when you command them to do so.

That’s it! It is just a matter of two clicks. You have to first click on “Start Scan” and then on “Fix all Errors” and you are done. Your computer has been cleaned out completely and you have managed to speed up computer doing practically nothing. This is the way some of the best registry cleaners in the world such as Error Nuker, RegCure and Registry Easy work today.

You must know that it is the registry that makes your computer go slow when it does. Your computer’s OS has to refer to the registry every time it has to perform a task. It will also temporarily save files in the registry for later reference. But as time passes, these files may stay behind and overburden the registry. When you are cleaning your registry, you are effectively removing all these useless files. This is what helps you in getting a speedier computer.

Here’s our answer – it is definitely not smart to try and fix your own Windows registry. By doing so, you may be doing irreparable harm to your computer. At least, newbies must not try to fiddle with their registry on their own at all. Here is why.

The entire basis of performance of the Windows operating system is dependent on its registry. When you install a program on the Windows system, several executable files needed for the program are installed in the registry. When these programs are started, they will refer to the registry for these files and that is what makes the program function on the computer.

But if the registry becomes overcrowded with unnecessary junk, then the computer will take just that much time to locate those files. For that reason, the computer will not be able perform at its maximum speed. This is also true when the computer is starting up or shutting down.

Actually that is the reason why people try to fix Windows registry in the first place. By doing so, they are removing the unwanted files from the registry and making it squeaky clean for functioning. Even very old computers are known to improve their performance by as much as 15% by simply getting their registry cleaned.

But, this is where you must pay attention. If you try to fix Windows registry yourself, you may be causing severe irrecoverable loss to the computer. You must know that the files for even the programs that are vital for the computer’s functioning are located on the registry. If you unknowingly delete one of these files, a single program on your computer may malfunction, the computer may malfunction or freeze completely.

If you research on methods to fix Windows registry yourself, you will find that it is not at all simple. You will have to use a command like Regedit.exe. This will take you to the registry of your computer. This is where you can see all the files that should be removed to free up your registry and tune up your computer.

There are three reasons why you should not try this by yourself…

If you do not know much about DOS commands, this will be very difficult for you, because Regedit.exe works on a DOS base. You should also be sure what to fix. If you don’t, you will end up deleting useful information and harm your computer.

The second reason is that you may not fix Windows registry completely, because you would not know exactly what to remove.

Thirdly, this is a very much time consuming and tedious task, the kind that you feel like giving up on halfway.

However, you have a very good solution with registry cleaner software like Error Nuker, Reg Cure and Registry Easy. Just install these programs and let them scan your computer once a week. They will show you all the unwanted junk that you need to remove.

Instead of trying to fix Windows registry yourself and harming your computer, it is best to let such expert software do it for you. You get efficiency, and the reassurance that nothing important has been deleted.

In another article we talked about the bad things that can happen to your computer and your operating system if the registry isn’t up to par. In this post, you’re going to learn about other bad things which can happen to your computer. The bad things that can happen to your computer can be a result of downloading a free registry cleaner.

If you happen to choose a free registry cleaner, you should take some extra precautions. You really need to make sure that the registry cleaner is being provided to you by a reputable company. Often, free software, including registry cleaners, may contain harmful files. You may think you’re getting a registry cleaner that will help you for free, but you may wind up with some malware on your computer.

If you don’t know what malware is, it’s just a term for any type of software or programs that are harmful or can cause problems with the computer. Examples of malware include, but aren’t limited to: Viruses, dialers, hijackers, Trojan horses, spyware, adware, etc…

Often people who like to spread the malware know one of the best ways to infect computers with it is to attach it to something the user believes will be beneficial and free. In this case, you may believe you’re getting a harmless registry cleaner that will help to get your registry in order, when in fact, you could be downloading something harmful to your computer.

You may not even be able to depend on your anti-virus to catch it. One of the best ways malware can hide is to disguise itself inside your registry and trick your anti-virus into thinking that it’s a legitimate program and belongs on your computer.

As you can see, you may be taking a great risk if you rely on a free registry cleaner. There are a lot of bad people out there waiting for innocent victims. In the next post, you’ll learn about why paid online registry cleaners are the best investment you can make.
